This is actually a car I'd trade my GTV6 for. So weird. So wonderful.

I learned to drive stick on one of these. Have had one in my family my whole life. The father bought it new when her was 18. When I asked him why he was willing to spend 800$ more on a Vega than a Corvette his answer was.... because cosworth.
Our cossie has 70k miles on it now but the engine was blueprinted 5k miles ago. After all the work was done then we were able to get the car up from 110hp to 170hp. This was all done without changing any of the stock layout and doing away with some of the ridiculous shit that was done to this poor engine for emission reasons back in the 70s. Seriously an awesome car, and based on the last registration year, fewer than 1000 of these cars are still on the road. This is truly a rare gem at an impossibly low price. Especially if you find it bone stock.

That is correct, what they have done here is a crime against classics.

They had their problems like any engine of the times but with some TLC the car can be as reliable as a DD. The one in my family has 70k miles with an engine blueprint at 65k. The car runs perfectly and in the spring to fall months we drive it almost daily
